Day 2 @ rws uss pt2
Cont USS pt 2. Yes, the transformers ride! For this, i borrowed the pic that's from my brother's blog. We went in, and there's a strange alien thingy trapped inside the glass. Since the que kept moving, we didn't get close enough to see what is it really all about. This was a second ride, and what everyone was rushing for from the beginning was this, because the que was like just here and not other places. Since we were early, we got to seat the ride pretty much in a short time.
We got in further, and there is a screen showing us the briefing, more like to kill time maybe, because it can take quite long to get inside. There was a counter where they ask you to take the glasses. Now these are indeed 3d glasses, and they were so plasticy and scratched up. Not to mention the oily surface left by other people, just yuck. But to think it can be made so cheaply like these and not having to give extra care, i am starting to wonder if those 3d glasses sold by famous brand are actually jacked up prices. Gimmick aside, this plastic glass does it job, just like how jaws 3d cheap paper blue and red works.
Not long after, we managed to get in and sit for the ride. Now during this time, i held a camcorder trying to record the entire thing. But they say no camera allowed. Bummer. So i said fine, but didn't switch it off. I lowered it and tried to adjust the angle without seeing the lcd screen. It was a horrible shoot i can tell. Firstly, i don't know how the 3d is generated, but the camcorder just captured weird images. I've learned my lesson that not everything can be shown through the video, but you gotta experience it yourself. The seats rocked back and forth, forward and reverse, tilted and turn. And there's also heat coming out of nowhere as if you are right there with the transformers themselves.
Right after we got out of the place, our feets were quite shaking because it's just that intense. Now we did come all the way here just for this ride, and it ended in a flash. So what to do next? We don't really know so we walked around and see what interest us. We then saw the roller coaster that has this insane twist and 2 of it will just cross each other. This was the only ride that we didn't seat because we thought that'd just make the rest of our day wasted. Not very good getting dizzy. We then headed for the castle where Shrek and the 4d ride is.
It's probably past an hour by then, and the crowd is really getting huge. The line for the castle is just tad long, we waited even longer. It's a cinema-like screening where 400 people can seat at one go. Each screening last probably 15 minutes, so that explains the wait. And before getting in, there's a preview where they showed things up on the wall with lcd tv. After that we went inside and grabbed a seat, where they have carefully arranged in such a way that you wont have to fight for it. Now the placement of where I seat is important, because depending on where you are, the 3d effect that comes right at your face, is different. If i am at far edge, i don't think i'd get the same thrill as in the middle. Oh and be careful of the water splash and creepy crawlers. LOL.
