Day 2 @ PG Road Trip

Day 2
On to more delicacies from Penang. This is yet another post that has CKT in it. When we talked about CKT, there's no short of mentioning where you can find the best of it's taste. And no other place than where i am now in Penang. There are lots of stores that sells this, so finding the best one is quite a challenging task. Luckily, we have our so-called local friends that have lived here for about a year. PG is actually quite a small Island, and if one year is not enough for people who live here to get familiarized with the culture and activity here, it will just turn out as a joke. And, joke it is, apparently the places we have been brought by our old friends are really just on a mediocre standard. It wasn't the best of the best yet. And my other friend will just say, dei, you have lied to us again! Hahah.

We spent the previous night at our old friends' house, which we were lucky enough to be able to 'rent' it. They were staying at their relatives' place because of some events that happened in their life. So their uncle and auntie decided to take them in so they have a place to call home. The place is situated quite near to the bridge, although the entire Island isn't very big anyway, so to reach the end of the side is just roughly 30 minutes depending on traffic. Which we did, and drove circled almost the entire Island for around 4 to 5 times in half a day for something silly. The room wasn't that small, but to cramp us guys all in one room is abit of a funny thing, but luckily there's enough room and just enough for comfort. The first night, as usual i will unpack my things, and the most obvious ones are my gadgets. My friends will never fail to say something about it, and true enough this time was something they didn't expect. I took out my 4g mifi device and there was no signal, and the guys kept wanting to surf the net as i do. So i had no choice but to show them what i always do to be able to get signal. I then acted like inspector gadget and move the device from one place to another as if i am trying to detect metal. Moved up down left right, underneath the bed and across the table, but no sign of signal at all. So the last option is to move it near the window, which is always the ideal choice because the waves can't penetrate walls, or so i heard. And lo and behold, the red led stopped flashing! This just means there's connection, but on the weakest side. So i then find a way to get the mifi to hang on the opening gap of the window and plugged in the power source because it wont last long if i did not do that. Throughout the entire process, we were laughing our heads out what we ought to do just to be able to get online. And then we joke about us being deserted somewhere without internet connection and we'd not be able to survive. Hahah. Our friends then whipped out cell phones and began checking for messages from ehem. I left the device overnight, and we slept, but not! Regardless of how tired we were, we still talked alot until quite late at night before dozing off.

Woke up in the morning and we began finding for food again. And as usual, we followed our old friends around. Throughout the day, we never failed to eat and eat and eat. The moment we finished one, we went to the other. As one of my fat friend will say, if anyone stay here, it is almost impossible to stay within the ideal weight and get a slim and fit body. On the other hand, i ate the least and they kept pushing me to eat it so that i can grow some meat.
