Wiped Clean Dishes @ Penang

Nothing says better than a table of dishes that's wiped clean of food. So we went on a trip to Penang, and this was most likely the first few dishes that we ate while we were there. Our purpose for this trip is to eat, sleep, drink, and meet up with our old friends that recently migrated there.

Our trip was pretty funny, and fun. Definitely filled with lots of laughter, and our stomach was also filled to the brim. When it comes to Penang, it's all about food, and if not about that, not much reason to visit there. Of course the other thing also about pg, is that they are one of the main hub where lots of technological gadgets land in. When it comes to things being cheap, besides the nearby Ipoh, this is on the list as well. Being the cheapest food and stuff they had, compared to down south where I live, this is a place that i find a good replacement.

Ever thought of shifting place? I did. Either to a place filled with food and gadgets, or a place filled with sands and the never ending sound of waves splashing against the shoreline. At times, I find the latter being a tad boring, mainly because I am a person that is always finding for things to do. If i ever had a break, like let's say a holiday, i feel strange. Like a piece of software in me decides to bug out, causing me to act like a lunatic. That happens, when you try to take away my source of entertainment, for example pc, or internet, or my phone. That was what happened while I was away from reality to an Island, which you can read more about here.

On Day 1
of our trip, and before that, I am being the usual guy with gadgets, packed everything I could ever stuff in my humble little travel bag, and checked to see if i left anything out. This time round however, I seemed to have upgrade a few things compared to my last possession. I had a 4g mifi dongle! This thing is a beast i tell ya, when it comes to the speed i get when it is at it's peak. It will show a green led and you'd see a smile on my face that will turn out quite creepy if you've ever seen it. At over 20mbps when it's at it's peak, especially at the heart of an urban area, this thing is faster than 3g that cant even beat. It's also faster than my current connection of 1mbps, which goes by a certain name that i wont disclose off, but you'll know when you're here. I have also upgraded my camera, tho still being apsc sized dslr. And of course not forgetting my phone and the rest of the chargers that came with it. I still cant forget the expressions my friends had when they saw me unpacking all these things, it was just priceless. They be like, dude what the heck man, your bag is this small sized yet the amount of gadgetry is like bam, half of it. You sure you bring any clothes to change at all? LOL. And all of them just couldn't agree more with on another that i am the Mr. Gadget. And also i am being designated with wifi-man, and walking-wifi-hotspot. Anytime they wanna checkin or check their fb status, they'd call me and say, Eh, switch on your power. Heh.

They picked me up from a sleepover place, tho that part was also a strange part of my history, and then headed straight to the road. We left at around evening and expect to arrive at late night, just in time for supper and spend the crazy night somewhere. I slept off in the car, as usual, as i always sleep whenever i'm sitting as passenger, because i'd get dizzy if i looked at things. At times i get just really tired because there's nothing i can do anyway. About close to 3 hours later, we finally saw the bridge, and that means we are technically there! One of my friends rang up and ask for directions to our old friends house. Guess what sort of direction they gave? It's like this: You come to this road, and you will see a war statue. What war statue? You mean like monument or something? Ya ya, you know during the war time, some of the stuffs they left are still intact and untouched by the local authority. When you find that, turn in that road. And we took so much effort to find for the monumental signature. Round and round we go, and finally spotted a weird stone shaped model, and thought this might be it. We were also skeptical, but it turns out it was! And it's a bunker, that looks like a normal thing you'd see on the road. LOL. We ended up screwing our old friends over, saying this just looks ridiculous, and it is just not it.

We then told them we wanna eat, doh. And so they brought their humble yellow car and we followed them from behind. Since we didn't know where is there any good food to eat, we trusted them. But turns out that was the biggest joke of all times. The restaurant was like cool looking and stuff, and we ordered a bunch of food to satisfy our hunger. And when the food came, we just ate and made it so clean only traces of sauce is left. But it turns out, this wasn't the very good thing from here, and they'd just laugh about it. http://www.whatismyreferer.com/
